Wider Achievement Opportunities at Fife Pupil Support Service
Welcome to Fife Pupil Support Service. We are committed to providing a diverse range of wider achievement opportunities that cater to the unique needs and aspirations of primary and secondary age students. Our programs are designed to complement academic learning by fostering personal growth, skill development, and community involvement. These initiatives are integral to helping students build a well-rounded portfolio that can significantly enhance their future educational and career prospects.
At Fife Pupil Support Service, we believe in the power of experiential learning to equip our students with the necessary tools to succeed in an ever-evolving world. Our wider achievement programs include community service projects, leadership training, and partnerships with local businesses and organizations. These opportunities not only allow students to apply their academic knowledge in real-world scenarios but also help them develop critical life skills such as teamwork, communication, and problem-solving.
We encourage all parents/carers to actively engage with our service and support their children in participating in these valuable programs. By doing so, you play a crucial role in enhancing their educational experience and expanding their horizons. For more information on specific opportunities and how to get involved, please contact our office. Together, we can provide our students with the tools they need to thrive both now and in the future.

PSS Wider Achievement
At PSS we understand the importance of recognising young people's accomplishments beyond traditional academic subjects. This includes participation in sports, volunteering, leadership roles, clubs, arts and community involvement. It is important because it supports the development of well-rounded individuals, helps build confidence, skills and resilience. It also aligns with Curriculum for Excellence, which aims to develop successful learners, confident individuals, responsible citizens and effective contributors.
Feedback from parents
My son has engaged really well with the Wider achievement programme. He enjoys being outdoors and meeting new people.
My child has done Mechanics, Construction and Bikeworks so far. I see a noticeable change in his confidence and motivation. He gets out of bed and ready for the bus himself in the morning. There's a sense of achievement.
